Melehy & Associates was successful in representing a former employee of the Department of the Army on appeal at the Office of Federal Operations (OFO), the appellate division of the Equal Employment Opportunities Commission (EEOC).
The employee first represented himself in an EEOC complaint and reached a settlement agreement. The Department of the Army then accused the employee of violating the settlement agreement and removed him from federal service.
The employee retained Melehy & Associates shortly after his termination to file an appeal to the OFO. The OFO ruled in favor of the employee, finding that the Department of the Army acted in bad faith in carrying out the settlement terms by terminating his employment.
